Reba Fox was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to high-school English teacher Kelly and college history instructor Earl Fox. Her older brother Vance attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her younger sister Edna Mae dreams of being in the military. Reba attended Purnett Swett High School in Pembroke, North Carolina, because her mother taught there. Reba's big break came when she was a junior in high school. She was taking an advanced theater class under the direction of John Hodges, a high-school drama teacher who enjoyed writing, directing, and producing his own plays. Reba had won a starring role in Mr. Hodges' annual showcase production in 2014 ("The Civil War, Remember the '50's, and Remember the '60's). At some point during the run, Mr. Hodges invited actor/writer/director/producer Chuck Williams, who is the CEO of Avondale Pictures in Burbank, California, to come and watch the production since Mr. Williams happened to be in town to shoot a movie. Williams ended up spotting talent that he could use in the movie, and Reba was one of those people. Williams asked her to read for a supporting role, but her video-taped audition convinced him to give Reba the lead female role. In Fall 2015, "Shake Off the World" ended up being Reba's major motion-picture film debut.
