Mark Deakins holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Brigham Young University. He received his classical acting training in the University of California, San Diego's MFA acting program. Having recorded over 200 audiobooks, he is a multi-award-winning audiobook narrator (14 AudioFile Earphones Awards, 4 Audie Award Nominations and 2 wins, AudioFile Best Voice of 2010 and Best Audiobook of 2010 for Colonel Roosevelt.)
