Marco DelVecchio was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up 30 miles south in the small town of Coventry. He is the son of Beth (Decubellis), an office worker, and Marco V DelVecchio, whose occupation is in construction. Growing up, he was constantly playing sports such as football and baseball. In the ninth grade he was sent to Bishop Hendricken High School, an all-boys catholic institution known for their success in academics and sports. It was there that he further nurtured his passion for football and his hopes became centered on earning an athletic college scholarship. Marco's goal was met just short, and he decided to attend a post graduate year at Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. While at Tabor, Marco excelled during the football season, earning All-New England Honors. Despite a few scholarship offers, Marco switched paths and decided to pursue acting after performing as the UPS Guy in the school's winter musical production of "Legally Blonde." Post Tabor Academy, Marco took a gap year in Tampa, FL where he worked, attended acting classes regularly, and auditioned for potential college theater programs. Marco immediately started booking parts in feature films, shorts, and print magazines geared towards sports and fitness during his gap year. Marco went on to study at California Institute of the Arts earning his BFA in Acting, yet only after just one semester of training, he moved to Los Angeles and began his professional career. When he isn't acting, Marco enjoys working out regularly, watching live comedy, eating unique and unhealthy foods, and dancing.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, filmmaker and composer Marco Dutra grew up obsessed with the horror and fantasy genres, and this influence is evident in his films, which bring shadows and ghosts (both real and imagined) into the domestic spaces of middle-class life. In 2017 his genre bending feature Good Manners, co-directed with Juliana Rojas, won the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. Previously, Dutra and Rojas collaborated on Hard Labor, which opened in Cannes Un Certain Regard 2011 and was a Sundance/NHK Award finalist. It received the Citizen Kane Award in Sitges the same year. Both films were edited by close friend and collaborator Caetano Gotardo. All the Dead Ones, his new film, marks the first directorial collaboration between Dutra and Gotardo and opened in Official Competition at the Berlinale 2020. Marco's solo projects include horror film When I Was Alive (2014), which screened in Rome and Beijing Film Festivals, and the thriller The Silence of the Sky (2016), which competed in Tokyo, Huelva and Havana before opening worldwide on Netflix. He also directed on the HBO series The Hypnotist. Marco lives between São Paulo and Johannesburg with his husband, filmmaker John Trengove.
