Mann Robinson, founder and owner of Mann Robinson Studios is an American Film Director, Producer, Actor, Author, Businessman & Entrepreneur. In 2007, Mann evolved from a rapper by writing his first full feature film script. Thereafter, film was the new aim. The first movie premiere he attended was in Atlanta in 2009 where Mann officially fell in love with film. By 2011, Mann delved deep into studying the history of film and film equipment. Metro Wealth Films was incorporated in 2013 and Mann began co-directing "On Ten" his drama TV series in Detroit, New York and Atlanta. In 2014, he enrolled in Full Sail University and moved to Atlanta, GA. Before year end, he transferred to The Art Institute Of Atlanta and launched the grand opening of his own film production house, Metro Wealth Studios. Then, he established "Atlanta Actors Workshop", a company which provides acting seminars to develop local aspiring actors. These workshops cultivated thousands of actors for roles that his company casted directly from his own database. All these acquisitions in pursuit of following one of his deepest passions - FILM. While not in class, Mann would diligently study his craft. He visited the set of Tyler Perry Studios absorbing further knowledge, as well as working for hire on numerous sets as Director/Producer developing the creative projects of others. By mid 2014, during any free time, Mann Robinson began the screenplay of the highly anticipated film entitled "TURNT" based on his own life experiences and events of many he was affiliated with. He was inspired to share with the world what transpires behind the scenes within the music industry and the street life. Originally, the idea was an interview style documentary starring aspiring rappers, singers, producers and newly-famed artists. With his growing knowledge and newly acquired resources, his companies: Mann Robinson Productions, Metro Wealth Studios & Atlanta Actors Workshop would diligently take on this project full fledged handling the casting, production, producing, filming & editing; while Mann himself would hold the prestigious title as Director. Concluding the filmed interview of Jamal Woolard whom began his entertainment career in the freestyle rap game; then starred in both biographies/drama films: 2009 "Notorious" & 2017 "All Eyes On Me;" Woolard & Robinson collaborated as Executive Producers, concurrently switching lanes by converting this project from a documentary into a full feature film with the vision of creating a hood drama classic. By mid 2016, Mann converted the script and began pre-production on "TURNT" the movie, formally known as "Welcome to the industry Turnt Documentary." Jamal Woolard was casted as the lead role of Labarius, also known as Rilla. Mann Robinson co-starred as his manager by the name of Courtney Thomas. As the momentum grew, Torrei Hart came aboard as Co- Producer who also starred as Rita Robinson, a high profile LA music producer. Concurrently, with each fiscal year bringing more recognition and financial gains; Mann has developed numerous concepts into projects. Meanwhile spearheading numerous businesses; including "The Give It How You Live Foundation", a co-founded non-profit outreach program for adolescence which he and his wife, Monique Robinson established. This initiative is designed to provide an educational platform where aspiring youth can constructively channel their skills towards higher successes. Mann's achievements & tenured business skill set, serve to collaborate well with other entities within the entertainment realm. Due to the halt in filming caused by the 2020 pandemic, Mann was determined to continue his momentum by conquering new endeavors. He launched his own podcast "Behind The Scenes with Mann Robinson" interviewing creatives within the industry. As well as, wrote and released his first book/how-to-guide; "A Look Into Black Independent Filmmaking" further solidifying his mission to give back to the culture.
