Laura Jane Saxon, better known as Laura Saxon, was born to Sharon and Mark Saxon. Laura grew up in Stevenage, Hertfordshire in England with her mother, father, brother. At the age of 13 years old, Laura left the traditional schooling route and was home schooled. Whilst being home schooled, Laura joined a local film making and acting group where she realised how much she enjoyed acting. After completing her GCSE's she went on to study Uniformed Public Services at the North Hertfordshire College where she passed with triple distinction*. Whilst at college Laura also auditioned and was accepted into the Celebrity Talent Academy, where she was scouted and flew out to Los Angeles. From this Laura has had many featured parts in television, film and theatre. Laura enjoys sports and trains in martial arts such as Karate and Krav Maga. Laura learned to ride motorbikes when her father gave her his keys to his 650cc motorbike and told her to ride it - she has a real interest in bikes and loves going out for a ride. Laura is also a published poet and and enjoys writing short films and stories. Laura not only loves to ride motorbikes, drive, write and play sports but she also loves to travel.

Born in Singapore to ex-pat parents, Laura lived in three different countries by the age of eight. Upon returning the U.S., her family settled in Seattle, where she joined a youth Shakespeare company. Theater was a mainstay as the years went on. A meeting with casting director Nancy Foy triggered a move to Los Angeles. Film and television roles followed, with Judd Apatow's Superbad being the first. In 2017, Laura made her directorial debut with SPEAK, a short film and social issue piece that garnered nationwide selections and premiered at the prestigious Nantucket Film Festival. She toured the country with the film, speaking with audiences about domestic violence and the importance of portraying its complexity. Laura is now in development on the feature version of this project. In addition to her acting work, Laura continues to write, direct and produce commercial and narrative content. She also performs stand up comedy throughout LA, including the Comedy Store & The Laugh Factory.
