Son of an actor father and agent mother, Lloyd Stanton grew up in the Royal Shakespeare Company, traveling the world as a child. He started out working for the irreverent comedy troupe, Comic Strip Presents... Becoming one of the writers on their associated comedy series 'Glam Metal Detectives' for the BBC. He went on to become a multi-award winning commercials director and direct series and programmes for BBC, C4, Gold, Discovery Channel and Paramount Comedy Channel. He produced the award winning film 'Wizard's Way', co-directed the acclaimed feature on stand-up comedy, 'Dying Laughing' (Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer etc) and two series of 'The Great Songwriters'. Lloyd recently completed the feature documentary 'Miss Angela' with Andy Garcia, and 'This Is Stand-Up' - two x one hour films for Comedy Central US premiered in 2020. In 2021 he delivered series three of The Great Songwriters for Sky Arts, and Theo Von's stand up special 'Regular People' which premiered on Netflix in October 2021.
