Fagun Thakrar

Fagun is a critically acclaimed British Film and Theater Actress who has appeared in a number of Hollywood and international films and has starred alongside Academy Award winners. Her films have been released in cinemas internationally, have been selected in festivals and have won awards. As an artist, Fagun is particularly drawn to cinematic roles with strong intellectual content that communicate a broader social message. As a writer-director Fagun similarly engages in projects which educate people's perspectives on the world. At an early age, Fagun began acting in her local theatres and then she entered and won 'Bolly Idol', the BBC's nationwide search for new acting talent, beating thousands of other British hopefuls. A straight 'A' student, Fagun also studied several particularly challenging disciplines at the same time - so much so that Fagun's exceptional educational experience was featured in an ITV News segment in the UK and she was spotted by a director for the film 'Brick Lane'. After these preliminary successes, Fagun then put her acting career on hold to study at the prestigious Medical School in London. Fagun has acted on the West End stage in London, performing in several Shakespearean plays including "Antony and Cleopatra," and "Romeo and Juliet," as well as roles in "After Miss Julie" by Patrick Marber and "The Seagull," by Anton Chekhov. Fagun has also appeared in numerous commercials across the world including in Europe, America, Canada and India for well-known international brands. Fagun has studied a range of disciplines to Master's level. Fagun's education includes studying at the University of Cambridge, University of London Medical School (UCL), London College of Fashion. She went on and trained in Classical and Contemporary Acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and studied Film Directing in the US. Fagun has been featured in high-profile publications, and has been listed by Forbes. Fagun lives and works between the UK and the US.
