Dietra Walters was born in the South and spent her early and late childhood in Oklahoma and Tennessee where she learned her manners, her work ethic and her general decency. She has spent the majority of her life in Miami, FL where she learned to adapt quickly to her surroundings and how to keep up in a fast-paced life. Miami, FL was also where Dietra began studying acting in High School at New World School of the Arts. Dietra fell in love with acting and was considered to have natural talent. Dietra continued to study acting at the University of Minnesota before she ultimately decided to live a more private life and left acting to pursue other passions. She went on to study for many more years in University and private institutions. Dietra became a Registered Nurse and worked in the health care field for many years. Throughout her life, Dietra would miss acting daily to the point that she ultimately was driven to start taking acting classes again from private coaches. Dietra did not talk about her classes and she was usually the only student in her classes who was not pursuing acting as a career. Dietra was humbled by the talent that she would meet along the way and would question if there was a way to pursue acting and still maintain her privacy. For 5 years, she studied acting consistently but would turn down most opportunities to work in the industry while she watched success of those around her. It was in February 2019 that Dietra was forced to make a decision regarding her career choices. A friend that Dietra had met along the way insisted that she meet his acting coach. When she was offered to train with Aaron Jackson it was an honor but she knew that she had to decide between hiding her passion and acting only as a hobby or if she would take this opportunity for more. To work with such an esteemed coach, she knew that she would need to treat her art as a career and not just a hobby. With tremendous support from her husband and children, Dietra set off on a new journey in her life. Dietra quickly acquired an agent and started booking jobs. She continued to fall in love with acting and it became more and more apparent that this was her new passion. Dietra has taken her experience and knowledge from her other careers and applied it to acting. Dietra sees acting as any other career where it is as important to be professional and educated as it is to only say that you want the successes that come along with the career. Dietra has learned that when she puts her mind to anything that she is destined to find success and this is proving true once again. With Dietra's training and other work experiences as well as her professionalism, drive and the decency that she learned early in life, Dietra is well on her way to find continued success in this industry. Dietra is in this career for the long haul and you will surely be seeing more work form her soon.
