Bradford James Jackson is an award winning actor, writer and producer whose work has been acclaimed by Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor's Weta Workshop. His most widely recognized role maybe that of 'Buzz' in the punk-rock film Proper Binge for which he won Best Actor at the 2018 Beverly Hills Film Festival. Jackson was born Bradford Keith Jackson on December 17th, 1987 in Tacoma, Washington. His father, an Army Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Military, was re-stationed often throughout Jackson's childhood, enabling him to see most of the U.S. as a young boy. Due to frequent relocating, he and his four siblings were homeschooled. As children, they passed time by creating short, self-made movies and skits, a hobby that Jackson quickly found a passion for. He soon began performing in local church plays, and became an ongoing member in Renaissance Fairs portraying knights and soldiers. Jackson's formal acting training began in college where he studied the methods of Meisner and Stanislavski, as well as stage combat and dance for musical theater. His early theatrical performances include Charles Marlow in She Stoops to Conquer and Orlando DeBoys in William Shakespears' As You Like It. During his college years Jackson quickly began to branch out under the stage name 'Bradford Jackson.' He was cast in local film and stage productions where he was paid for his craft. This was something he would later get into trouble with by his acting professors, insisting that he finish his education first. After being reprimanded, with only 4 credits away from graduating, Jackson left the University. Jackson went on to star in Levi A. Taylor's film The Darkness where he was nominated for Best Actor at the 2013 Beverly Hills Film Festival. He later combined his love of historical reenactment and film to write, produce and direct the Scottish short film Come Back Home which was accepted into the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. The film was highly acclaimed by Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor's Weta Workshop. Just after the release of Come Back Home, Jackson went to be with his grandfather who had become very ill. After his grandfather passed away, Jackson changed his stage name to 'Bradford James Jackson' in reverence of his grandfather. Jackson would later jump into the role of 'Buzz' for the Alaskan independent film Proper Binge where he portrays an alcoholic attempting to make amends with all the people he has wronged while under the influence. The role awarded him Best Actor at the 2018 Beverly Hills Film Festival. Currently, Jackson and colleague Nik Sharshak are in development on a feature film and medieval-fantasy series with their company Bradford Jackson Films LLC. Jackson resides with his wife in Los Angeles.
