Brent Yoshida is an actor who is driven by community, creativity and the moments that happen when individuals of various backgrounds unite for a common goal. From the age of five, Brent began participating in numerous arts programs, including musical theater and piano. Although he struggled in school due to dyslexia, through art, Brent found an escape and discovered the joy of storytelling. He eventually stepped away from the stage to explore other interests which include becoming a three-sport Varsity Athlete, setting a Varsity Track School Record (200m), graduating with Honors, and winning "Best All-Around" from his senior class. A few years later, he walked-on to the University of Southern California (USC) Football Team; eventually starting eight out of the thirteen games on Special Teams & being part of two Rose Bowl Championship teams under Coach Pete Carroll (Seattle Seahawks). Brent felt that this was only possible due to the support of his coaches, teammates, family, friends, and the community. In his eyes, it was just a physical manifestation of just how extraordinary these people are, being that he only played football for one year in high school and had never been on a stage with an attendance of 92,000 people. Upon graduation, Brent became the first student-athlete in USC history to graduate from the School of Architecture (5 year) program while starting on special teams. Brent believes in encouraging each generation to pursue their dreams, fostering a sense of community and has felt a responsibility to pay it forward for all those who have helped him along the way. He has done so through over 100 public speaking/hosting talks at schools, companies, nonprofits, as well as numerous hours of volunteer work for causes ranging from homeless shelters to senior homes to youth events. After graduation, Brent focused on utilizing his degree to build diversified businesses, but was torn because his heart was in film. Although he had his reservations, he began studying again in acting classes and doing a few projects. Through this, he realized that his passion as a kid had not left, but had only been buried. In November of 2018, he decided to follow his heart and go into the entertainment industry full-time. Within six months, he booked 40+ principal/supporting role projects ranging from large brand commercials and print campaigns to landing six short films in a month. Brent believes it is all about the people and loves collaborating to create compelling narratives. Having trained at Berg Studios, Second City, and many types of schools, Brent is dedicated to striving to improve each day through his education within acting, martial arts and fitness. Needless to say, A.M.W. and Brent are excited to partner together moving forward. Written by: A.M.W. Talent
