Austin Ku is an Asian American stage & screen actor based in New York City. He trained extensively in theater and music, and is a Grammy Award nominee for Best Musical Theater Album (as well as many other awards and honors). Austin Ku is originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. At a young age, he began studying classical music (violin, piano, and singing). He attended Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Asian Studies (focusing on Chinese Culture, History & Language - he is conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese), with additional studies in Vocal/Opera Performance (from Rice's Shepherd School of Music). He then attended UC Berkeley School of Law, and briefly practiced entertainment law before returning to school for a graduate degree in theater/musical theater from The Boston Conservatory (now The Boston Conservatory at Berklee).
